Awesome release! thank you !
Can someone please explain to me how to create the fog effect/volumetric light to achieve the same effect shown in the picture above? (forest with sunrays and fog).
I've tried using the "fade shadows" option on a specular material...nothing happens..
Even in a basic setup with a room & a window I couldn't get it done..
Help please

This will only speed up Octane launching as far as I know. Once it starts to render, you should see zero difference compared to a normal HDD.rappet wrote:Wowheeyaah! Thanx to the OR Team of Steel

greetings,
It may also speed up loading scene objects/materials. If it does, it may only do it on the first time it is loaded since it should then be cached in RAM/VRAM anyway (not totally sure how it all works). So, if you use an exporter for an animation, it will need to load Octane once for each frame, resulting in several hundred launches for Octane. It may speed up each launch, resulting in a much faster animation render time, but it may only speed up the first instance, then it becomes cached and you see no speed increase. Don't know for sure though.
