Here are the final winners of the 2012 apocalypse competition.
Due to the variation of images and animations submitted, we had limited options to pick the winners,
and as the competition was not mandatory themed, we decided to pick the best looking images, irregardless of the theme.

J3DSN won first prize due to the amazing use of light entering the room of his set of renders.
2nd place : One NVIDIA Geforce GTX580 3GB GPU & 1 lifetime license for any RS LTD product & Second pick of one Archinteriors CD*.
Bertrand Benoit's series of interior renders and the eponymous chair render won 2nd place.
We believe the amount of realism achieved using only directlighting due to the use of an old/slow GTX200 series card is superb.
3rd place : One NVIDIA Geforce GTX560Ti 2GB GPU & 1 license for any RS LTD product & Third pick of one Archinteriors CD*.
Mlody47 won 3rd place due to his superbly modeled head.
4th place : One NVIDIA Geforce GTX560Ti 1GB GPU & 1 license for any RS LTD product & Remaining Archinteriors CD*.
The amazing and superbly rendered animation by bepeg4d won 4th place.

Matej won 5th place with his hellspawn render, as well as the fact that he managed to submit 26 materials to the liveDB while doing so !

The best artistic concept goes to this beautiful abandoned venetian mask by Piernik.
7th Best technical concept/achievement : One NVIDIA Geforce GTX550Ti 1GB GPU
Peterlux's expertly designed robot head won the technical concept prize.
