New experiment...pathtracing seems to be a lot more demanding/heavy on the gpu than default.

Looks very good/realistic:) Nice texturework also. Just let it render longer.

Thanks :)

Yeah, i would like to render it a bit longer, but it crashes a lot lately, 3 times in a row. This is a screengrab when it hanged without response.

Not giving up that easy thou...

great start.

you should use the supersampling trick.
render at 2x or 4x the resolution (turn off filtering), then downsize in photoshop or gimp with a good filter, like bicubic, to get perfect antialiasing.

it actually crashes after letting it rendering for x time ?
that's not normal, maybe you GPU is getting too hot.

maybe try to use a tool like the free registration/download 'evga precision' to monitor it.

Thanks, to you too :)

And that downsampling thingie is a bit tricky with a demo version  1080p minus interface, thats top. And of course, performance issues. I think, 720p is a limit for my card and this scene and pathtracing.

About crashing-
It hanged when i was changing some materials, not when it does work only. It's somewhat strange issue, becouse first time scene worked well, i've even rendered it for 1/2 hour without problems and performance was good actually. But when i tried that with updated scene, later (just tweaked some parts on textures), it started with crashes, and it worked a lot worse (i think, but maybe wrong there).
Yeah, i am using evga precision, mostly for overclocking and fan control, it never passed 70C. I just think that GPU didn't want to render any more today  We'll see tomorrow.

Edit- couldn't resist, so i gave it another try. Seems like program doesn't like when i pause the render, and then do some changes with materials...i avoided that and it went through fine. Of course this is just a wild guess.

Aliasing is an issue, definitely. Gonna try to get rid of it somehow. At lest with downscale from 1080p render, even if i have to borrow another 8800GT from my friend, lol.
