Type Variant house (update 07/02)

Hi,

Finally I found a few time to progress on my new "For ever unfinished" scene ;)

This is a reproduction of the Type Variant House (Vincent James Associates 1994-1997)
I wasn't able to find blue prints and finally decided to work based on reference photos, so the overall scene proportion and the environment should be similar but for sure it won't be as occurate as I would like.

Cars (kangoo and touran) are from http://www.dmi-3d.net/ couldn't find the name of the authors in the txt files

As the scene is huge you may expect many images based on it, I'll update this thread with the future new shots.

As usual, everything modeled with Blender 2.65, trees generated with my home made script.
Rendered with AO mode 3..

Amazing! And I love your trees... They look marvelous.
Looks like a bunch of leaves are strangely floating in the air on the right side.
The sun is really nice.. I like dark scenes where the light can 'play'.
Your scene surely invites you to make more beautiful renders :D

Hi enricocerica, high level renders, i like the way on the left.
Something irritated me with the lightning of the trunks, they are all bright.
Here is an example:

Nice scene for the upcoming Fog feature. :)

Cheers, mib.

Thanks to all,

Mib2berlin:I try to avoid dark surfaces, I prefer when the texture is apparent, maybe a bit darker than this ...

Rappet:I did the branches a bit too thin and there are not always visible, I'll have to fix that manually

More to come ...
