Hi there, people.

I'm trying to import some pretty simple props from DAZ to poser. the DSON did fine, everything is working, but look:

Iray:

octane-poser:

I tried to set up the material to silver from live DB. still not even close. is there any way to transfer Iray nodes properly to poser/octane?

thanks <3

The plugin converts Poser materials to Octane material, not Iray materials to Poser materials. If there are only Iray materials, you will need to convert them manually.

I never said octane should do it for me, Paul. that's exactly what I was asking...(how to convert them manually, so it will work nice with octane-->poser).

I would start by loading the closest material you can find from the LiveDb and adjust the material as required from there.

Depending on the angle light hits some LiveDB metals, it may not look like you want. Changing direction of light can help, or the rotation of HDRI maps. You can also try other metals, Nickel, Titanium, and Chromed Steel until you get that silver look. Also copy the bump map/displacement map image from the original material and paste it into the LiveDB material to get the ornate look back.

Hope this helps.
