Materials IDS from 3dsmax to not transfer

I have a problem with a model I have created. I have made a Uav Hawk model In 3dsmax and set up a multi sub object material. Five materials in total, one for each wing, one for the fuselage and two smaller isolated areas. Problem is when I export the model to octane only one material is connected to the mesh node.

any help would be appreciated. thanks

I think the others should be there too, never had this problem, but as a quick solution deatach each matid to a new mesh and group them if you want to animete it.

I had a similar problem. I found out that because I copied the materials and then changed them afterwards they would be different in Max, but in Octane they were the same.

I solved it by deleting the copied materials and then setting them all up individually.
Win 7 64bit, GF 460 2GB, Intel quad, 4GB memory

are you using any other renderer materials? for example vray or mental ray? it only happened to me when i acidentally used a multi/sub-object material of vray materials and exported it to obj, my whole object had the same material, which sounds absolutely natural to me.
i always use a material converting script (http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scrip ... ter-v0-98b) to make sure everything's a standard material before exporting.

you must turn enable "auto" map channel in export plugin. ;)
