hi
i use octane render both at work and at home.
using this unstable plugin sometimes require me to use a unlock via the "OctaneLive Accounts" page.
what happens when the unlocks are used?

Unstable plugin and OctaneLive Accounts unlocks
Hi,
Unlocks are a way so you can release a license that is currently in use on a different machine that for some reason you cannot access anymore. If you run out you may contact [email protected] to give you some more, who would investigate your specific case. This is just to avoid fraudulent use of licenses.
Could you also report any issues that you are having with the plugin that make it unstable in a separate post so we can solve the underlying problem?
Thank you.

Hi jorgensen,
what about the internet connection at both home and office?
Does it happen only with one machine or with both?
We don’t have any other report about issues with the Sketchup license deactivation, so maybe is something related with your particular configuration.

hi beppe
it's because if sketchup crashes at work, and i forget to start sketchup again, and close it properly, the license is not released.

Hi jorgensen,
could it be possible for you to use Teamviewer to gracely closed Sketchup at office from home?
In this way you can avoid to use the web unlock.

it could - but it's simply because i forget to restart sketchup and close it properly.
i normally close my computer when i leave work. else i would have used remote desktop, but that's even not possible anymore - as sketchup 2017 uses a gfx driver that remote desktop does not support.
i guess i need to be carefull and look forward to a more stable version, and until then, use the standalone.

Hi jorgensen,
better to use Teamviewer, since Remote Desktop have issues with CUDA in general.
Thankfully, you have not to wait too much for a better version... stay tuned
