I got this weird black dots artifacts going on with the Shadow pass from the render layer.
Can't solve it with any parameter I'm playing with.
Any solution for that?
Thanks

Hi Yambo,
there is an issue in the SDK with passes when displacement is active, and I guess that you are in the same situation.
Mojave has already solved this and should be fixed in the next SDK. For now, as a workaround, if you cannot only disconnect displacement, try to play with rey epsilon value, in general it is possible to drastically reduce the black dots.

This is without displacement. and the ray epsilon doesn't solve it.
This is workflow breaker
no any other solution for that?

Are you sure that there aren't any other displacement node in the scene?
Try to create a different scene without displacement, or export to Standalone and remove the displacement there. In this way you don't modify the c4d scene and use Standalone only for render passes

We recently found and fixed an issue with displacement generating black pixels in info channels so that could be causing the artifacts that you are experiencing. This should be included in the next release.
Could you please share your project to confirm whether it is the same or a different issue please?
In the meantime, could you try lowering the number of samples in your info kernel? That should reduce the amount of artifacts that you get.

it's not related to the displacement. Displacement is indeed creating some really bad artifacts, but those dots are also happening with a very very simple scene like those attached.
I would be really happy to get some tip to solve it. Lowering the max samples even to 1 doesn't help.
