Rotating ies lights......

Hi,

I am having difficulty rotating an ies light, the light direction won't change when I rotate the light, it also won't rotate if I make an object into an ies and rotate the object or rotate its material. Any help much appreciated.

you should check "octane ieslight" preset. It will show to you that how to setup. Ies orientation requires a spherical projection type and a octane objecttag if you are trying with a object. Arealights+octane lighttag makes this for you.
Also pls check light-samples.c4d, light-samples2.c4d scenes from demo scenes.

Thanks very much Aoktar, my mistake I was not inputting the ies file as an imagetexture.

I'm struggling with the same thing, I have the IES image texture loaded and a spherical projection, but can't for the life of me find the transform node of which you speak. Please (ahem) throw some light on it for me!

use "octane ies light" command. It will create a setup for you. Sorry not transform, projection node is under imagetexture, you'll see if you check
