Hi!

My problem is the following. I have created some destruction animation in Houdini FX and exported it into 3ds Max using ABC. Having it loaded in 3ds Max I created proper UVs for the object with all the fracture faces. I really need to use Multiple textures on one object, that is for the outer faces and the inner faces. Can you please guide me on from here, how should I plug my nodes in properly? For now I can only see one material in render view. Also waht about the multy tile textures?

Thank you.

Hi amoh,
I do not think need to unwrap. You should keep separate inner and outer before exporting ABC, or export separate inner and outer.

Hi!
Thanks for answering! :)
My specific situation makes me unwrap, because the outer faces of the model have to resemble a specific building.
Also, about the multy UVs in Octane, can you give a short instruction how to apply the txtures properly?

Thanks again!

Hi amoh,
I'd like to help you, could you kindly show some details about your scene, share screenshoots, your request is too general to help.

HI1
I don't think screenshots will help, because what I have in 3ds Max now is my alembic object and that is all. So, to tell you more, the scene is big, it is a wall fracturing, there are lots of small pieces of the wall, which have inner and outer faces. For the outer faces UVs are rquired because they have to resemble the real wall of a building. So my question is after doing some research: is there anything like Multi- Sub-Object Material or Multi Tile nodes in Octane plug-in?

Thanks a lot for your answer!

Hi amoh,
I do not think there is only one way to get the same result. however, this is what I think you want.

Wow! :)
Thanks a lot! That's exactly what can help me with my problem. I did not expect that node to work with Octane plug-in. Tnaks again!
