My question is very simple, I´ll buy octane for blender and the standalone today, but I have a doubt about this matter, I travel a lot and I manly use two computers to work on 3D stuff, one is my desktop that is more powerful and the other is my notebook that can handle easly Octane, so, can I install it on both computers?
short answer, no.
You can only have your license active on one computer at a time. You can however have it installed on both computers and then deactivate your license and put it on the other computer. Takes anywhere from 30 min to a couple hours.
This would work if you are traveling somewhere far, so the wait is minor, but wouldn't be very useful for short trips.
Another option is to leave your desktop on and remote into it with your laptop. I use Team Viewer to do this and it works perfectly. Try it out and see if that is a solution (this also has the advantage of utilizing the power of your desktop). Downside would be needing to leave your desktop on. Also if something crashes, you are kinda out of luck.

That sort of suck, but well, since there are a lot of piracy out there I dont desagree with this measure.
Thanks for your reply, and I will try that out, but the biggest problem for me is use the blender addon, it would be great to have at least some way to configure it on the other computer and then render on the desktop after the project was finished, well, thanks for your reply.

Hi leonnn1, a bit late but I use one license on two computer some times and many user use it at home and at work.
Deactivate your license online, wait about 15-60 minutes and activate it on second computer, same with the addon.
Most people need more than 15 minutes to go to work, so it is not a problem if reactivate need 30 or 45 minutes.
Otoy call it floating license or so.
Cheers, mib.
