That would be great.
I am not sure, but I think most or a lot Artlantis users are also Archicad users.
So if you are... there is a (wonderful) Archicad plugin available!
As a (former) Artlantis user, since the Archcad plugin, I do not miss an Artlantis plugin, but maybe in future it can be nice depending on Artlantis features to come?

ArchiCAD25, ofcourse Octane & OR-ArchiCAD plugin (love it)

Yes, going from ArchiCAD to Artlantis to Octane seems like a poor workflow when you can go ArchiCAD straight to Octane. There is also not a (publicly available) API for Artlantis, which would be needed for an Octane plugin.

Yes I am an ArchiCAD user. I do know of the Octane Render (OR) plug in for ArchiCAD. My issue is then missing out on including moving water and clouds for animations which I use a lot. I could move to cinema 4d and the OR plug in, but that's having to learn a whole new program.
Hi jsmendoza,
I know the feeling about wanting to learn c4d, but not doing it, coz' I don't want to pain my brain if not needed.
Yes, the clouds and water animation of Artlantis are pretty cool, but for me not important enough When looking at many other advantages of OR and Archicad plugin.
If there will be a plugin for Artlantis I wonder if the cloud animation and water movement can be transponed to the plugin?
(does rhat work with the (soslowly)Maxwell render plugin for Artlantis?)
I am more convinced about future possibility of Octane itself with future cloud animation.
and also adding video (of moving water
) as materials maybe in duture.... Of course as an user I don't know, but the development of Octane is spectacular! So what will the future bring is exciting.
Another escape is making moving clouds and water in Archicad by doing tricks... I am convinced that is already possible or will be possible one of these days.
For now moving sun and therfor skycolor is already possible in Archicad plugin when making animation with moving camera at the same time ( you can watch a movie I have made on my website or youtube).

Clouds render fine (from a skydome) if using IBL for lighting the scene (NOTE: you need to use daylight rather than IBL if doing sun studies in ArchiCAD). Moving water is not currently supported, but unless it is done via moving geometry in Artlantis, an Octane plugin for Artlantis would most likely not support it either.Yes I am an ArchiCAD user. Stationary clouds are supported. To do this, either render with an IBL that has clouds and a sun emitter on it. Or use the "daylight" Octane node and render with an alpha background and add a cloud background (in photoshop). Are you saying that with Octane Render plug in supports moving clouds during a sun study?
To render moving clouds in a sun study, there would be a number of options....1) Add the clouds texturemap to some ArchiCAD geometry which you animate moving across the scene (so it acts as a background) - would be hard to get the lighting right, or 2) I modify the plugin to enable animation of the orientation of the HDRI environment (then the clouds would move exactly with the sun), or 3) I modify the plugin to enable animation of the HDRI image, or 4) render the sunstudy with alpha background (kernel option) and use something like After Effects to add the cloud moving background (this would be by far the easiest and highest quality option I think).
In time I'm sure Otoy will consider adding combined sunlight and HDRI lighting, however you would still need a method of animating the HDRI image in order to move the clouds during the sunstudy.
