Hi Beppe,
I’m doubtful you can speculate on something like this but do you think there will be Apple Silicone native versions of Octane Plugins? Or is it more realistic that it will continue to be run under Rosetta?
Asking since it seems like unless all plugins are native to the ARM architecture cinema will have to
run in Rosetta mode which sounds like it will limit performance for the DCC and plugins. It’s been encouraging to see X Particles announce they’re working towards a native plugin.

Hello!! Any updates on this? Is there a release date scheduled yet?
Still it’s impossible to install the Octane Pluginwith C4D..
Is there any walkthrough because it drives crazy all this situation since all steps made properly regarding rosetta 2
drivers, updates, files, folders everything but the plug in does not loading

Hi,
PR11 is the first version supporting c4doctaneX with M1 chip.
M1 chip support is still considered experimental at this stage, and it is still working under Rosetta 2 for plugins in Big Sur, at the moment.
Please, select the Cinema 4D.app, press Command+I, to get the Info panel, and enable the **Open using Rosetta** option:

ciao Beppe

I just bought Octane and trying to install the Octane X PR11 (Big Sur) version to my M1 mac mini, following the instructions, but it doesn't show up in Cinema 4D R23, and neither in the Security & Privacy and it's really frustrating. Can someone help me what to do? I'm not using rosetta, since it says M1 is natively supported.

PR11 is the first version supporting c4doctaneX with M1 chip, and you are forced to Enable Rosetta for c4d app, or it cannot work.
Please, look at screenshot above, thanks.
