Hi all,

This is another small release providing some bug fixes that have accumulated over the last weeks.

Changes since version 2.24.1:
  • Sped up authentication during start up.
  • IES files can now be selected for the RGB image texture node.
  • Fixed launch of slaves via daemon on Linux.
  • Fixed a deadlock in batch rendering of certain scenes.
  • Frames of the batch render script match now exactly the frames of the time slider.

I was hoping to see 2.25, with the infamous ORC support.
How long do we have to wait? :(

do you no longer need to all have the same version when networking?
It used to be that it would say "invalid version" if one of the computers wasnt updated or running the latest daemon. Now it works if they are different versions. Not sure if you planned that.

Thinking out loud. Question : is it possible to make the beam of light had a finite value in its length. And hasn't spread. The perimeter that we chose.

No, that requirement still exists. It was an oversight on my side: I forgot to update the internal version number (it's still 2240001)... Since there are no changes on the data structures that make it not work with old 2.24.1 masters, I won't change the archives. Let me know if you run into any issues.

You can add an image to the "Distribution" input. Set the "Projection" type to "perspective" and the "Border Mode" to "Black color".

The projector by default is pointed along the Z axis and it has a projection angle of 90°.

You can aim the projector to different directions by either transforming the instance or by putting a rotation in the "Plane transformation" input.

Changing the UV transform scale will change the projection angle and aspect ratio.

Please fix the noise generator, there is a visible repeating pattern. Could be great to get it with the next build, since I need a nice brush effect for a commercial project soon. ;)
