Beta 2.2 RC2
is this far away? I did actually noticed that all my problems were relate to the 32bit version of 2.2 RC1 (unusable) while the update seems almost fine on win7 64 with few screen refresh problems...

I got a question since we talk about beta 2.2 RC2, I work on a projects, and there is a lot of changes over geometry not materials, when relinking OBJ file material get mixed up, total mess.. ( knowing bug in beta 2,1 though ) is this fixed for RC2 or beta 2.2 ? I have to give up using Octane for that project , or wait for RC2 or beta 2.2 if fixed.... I might misread if someone already discuss that..

yes, it's fixed in RC2. (at least we hope).andrian wrote:I got a question since we talk about beta 2.2 RC2, I work on a projects, and there is a lot of changes over geometry not materials, when relinking OBJ file material get mixed up, total mess.. Hi andrian, it´s happening to me also. It´s not perfect but maybe it helps you... When you generate your .OBJ geometry file the software generate a .MTL file too. The octane use this file to link the material to the object. I assume you´re generating another OBJ files and replacing the original ones through the "LOAD NEW FILE" button and then next time you open octane everything mix up. If you rename that very first original MTL file with the name of the new one, things get better! Eg: original file= "test.obj" and "test.mtl"; you have many changes etc, and new geometry is "test5.obj" and "test5.mtl"; you´ll have to backup the "test5.mtl" and rename "test.mtl" to "test5.mtl". Good luck!andrian wrote:I got a question since we talk about beta 2.2 RC2, I work on a projects, and there is a lot of changes over geometry not materials, when relinking OBJ file material get mixed up, total mess..
