Hi guys,
As you may know the current beta2 does not work on the new GTX400 series.
This is very bad as a lot of users we're awaiting the availability of these for use with octane.
It's therefore vital for us to make sure that 2.1 is fully fermi compatible.
We've had serious difficulty in getting our hands on a pair of GTX480s, but due to electronspeed we have managed to get two cards,
and we should get them wednesday.
Therefore we have decided to release the 2.1 update after we have updated and properly tested 2.1 on these new cards,
so fermi users will have a properly working release.
So if all goes according to plan, the 2.1 will be out by the end of the week, hopefully friday.
As some of you may have noticed in the gallery forums, 2.1 will not only bring bug fixes for all known bugs (including resolution resizing crash),
many improvements for mac os X and linux, but also a lot of new toys that will definately be very welcomed by product and architectural visualizers.

beta 2.1 a few days delayed due to late arrival of GTX480's
Thanks a lot for the info. We all will wait I hope piecefully
PS: Is the delay gonna bring to us MLT with the rest of the futures ?

i don't fully understand your question but the release roadmap stays the same, eg we release 2.1 with multi-gpu support, then we work on MLT and release 2.2 with MLT soon after.andrian wrote:Thanks a lot for the info. We all will wait I hope piecefully![]()
