hi there,
if i export my c4d project as orbx, are the cameras exported as well?
i have an orbx file in unreal open, see the character and the landscape environment, but can't find my c4d camera...
is there a trick? where can i find it?
orbx from c4d: animated camera is missing...

You can extract the rendertargets from the Orbx by dragging the orbx into your scene. Select new the OctaneOrbxActor and press ExtractRenderTarget
I did that so that my character and also the surroundings became visible.
but the camera defined in c4d is not available in the object manager...
or must everything be extracted individually by target from the orbx...?

There is currently no camera extraction and conversion to unreal cameras. Neither for the extract rendertargets feature, or the orbx importer that converts to unreal.
Ill check if this would be possible.
ok, thank you!
i hope there is a solution to bring a c4d camera to unreal engine...

What do you want to use the C4D camera for? Does it contain animations?
yes, i wish to have my animated (octane)-cameras from c4d in unreal via Orbx...
at best with the exact adoption of all parameters (dof settings for example)

It might be possible to add a way to use the rendertargets inside an ORBX proxy, including their animation data.
The other ORBX importing option that converts to unreal components, does not support animation atm. Its on the list, but it has a lower priority.

ok, thank you very much...
