Help, I'm trying to find a viable pipeline between Maya and Unity for film animation work. I need alembic, ORBX, or USD support between Octane Maya and Octane for Unity. I need support for any of the major hair sim plugins (transferring sim to Unity by alembic or ORBX) and I need Arnold Standard Surface or equivalent for digital human shaders. Is this possible or am I just dreaming?

For normal geometry and normal materials, you should be able to use any of the regular maya to unity pipelines I suspect..

You can create a skin shader with octane override material. LiveDB should have a examples.
Hair is going to be difficult, unless export your maya hair to ORBX and you load it in as an ORBX proxy into unity.

thanks, Chris. I was planning to use ORBX for my hair. Will ORBX transfer the simulation or just the static geometry?
