In addition, I noticed 2 other bugs fixed in this release :) (maybe fixed in 9.17 or 9.18):

- Batch-render now works when there is a dot in the File Name Prefix (typical when using "increment&save")
- Batch-render now works when File Name Prefix path contains multiple sub-directory

I'm not sure what you want to achieve exactly in this scene ?

I guess maybe your problem comes from the difference between V2 and V3 scattering medium,
as there is a "inverse absorption" attribute in V3 enabled by default, you might have an inverted absorption compared to V2 ?

If this is is the problem, you just need to change absorption from 1 to 0, or disable the "invert absorption" checkbox.

Still not sure where I'm supposed to see this bug in your example scene.
Can you show the difference between the result you have with V2 and V3 ?

Because when I render your scene, the plane have a shadow and let the light only go trough the hole, as supposed:

Ok I see the problem and the difference of behavior between V2 and V3, thanks Renmaxhb :)
If it's a bug it's not in the plugin, it's in octane core (same problem in standalone),
It might also be that the bug is the behavior of V2 and it was fixed or maybe this have been changed on purpose for another reason (but I don't think so) .

I have asked in standalone Section:
