OK, this is very strange.

If I pan the camera to just the 'wrong' angle, my image is blurry, but if I pan it left just a little, it's sharp.

I've uploaded a photo. This is the same exact camera, render node, settings, etc.
This is from the IPR, but it renders out to file the same way.

In the left clear image, the camera was 'panned' left of the fuzzy image.

What's going on here?

[update: I played around with it some more, and if I move the camera so the image is either on the LH or RH side of the screen, it gets blurry. So then I started playing with the camera settings, and when I changed the F-Stop to 22, it fixed the issue.]

Hi,

Probably you have the autofocus option enabled in the render target camera options.

Thanks,

I tried un-checking the Auto Focus option and that did not make any difference.

Not sure what's going on. I have to set the F-Stop under the camera sampling options to F-22 to make it work.

Anything else I should try?

It seems a focus problem. What is your camera focus distance? ... perhaps the object is out of focus.

Anyway if you want to send me the scene, I could test it here.

Thanks,

I set the focus distance and that fixed it.

Thanks!
