Not sure if it's just me but there seems to be an issue with the way the Add texture tool is implemented in the PC version of Octane (2025 and 2026) that isn't properly adding textures. It works as expected on Mac using 2025, but I get different results on PC.
I'm adding these red and green ...

Sorry for the delay, hazooka. We are still working hard on the release, hopefully, the first build for H21 will be published late this week or early next week.

Hi Terryvfx,
I remember Houdini plugin supports node (e.g. Texture Image RGB node) file parameters starting with "op:", and build the texture from the op file path.

Unfortunately I always get - ERROR: Rendering failure. Octane can't render the scene. Check the available GPU memory or the scene complexity.
This is on a scene with just a cube and a camera. Karma is able to render with the GPU, as is Octane Blender, so for now I am reduced to playing with octane ...

I haven't tried this build yet, but was the octane lights (not universal lights) crashing octane issue was addressed?
And yeah turning the flags off for lights doesn't seem to trigger the IPR!


Sorry, lavrenovlad. We haven't reproduced the octane lights crashing problem yet, we will keep digging ...

For the benefit of frustrated linux users - If you are on a current Mint, or probably debian/ubuntu even if you have freeglut-dev installed you will not have a file libglut.so.3, you may have to create a symlink to the current version (in my case libglut.so.3.12.0) in /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu ...

Thanks a lot for the release!
I already reported this bug via a support ticket, but will drop it here too:
Volume Motion Blur doesn't work with Standard Volume Shader.
I am waiting on this fix, it's much needed. I hope for the next build if possible :roll:
