finally i got my PRUSA I3 printer and manage to print and assemble the lamp sketch
pretty happy with the result. looks petty similar to the sketch render.

hi all
just wanted to share a small project WIP.
i just ordered a 3d printer and this is the sketch for the first project (as soon as the printer shows up).
the printed parts will be the robot. hopefully i can print it with a iron filament so i can get the rusted look.

sigmamoon - tha animation is rendered out in 1000*450 pix. a bit odd resolution to use but i was to impatient to render half HD. rendertime per frame ended up to be 2-3 min witch is quite ok.
im rendering on one single GTX 580 card running ...

well thank you kavorka, i did have a version of this with a smoothed character, but i went for the low poly version in the end, it had more character:)
