I don't have any inside info, but I'm assuming it will be a much better fit into Houdini's interface. I'm thinking like Redshift in Houdini or Octane in C4D where you have access to everything you could ever want in the IPR. The current OpenGL IPR is a bit bare bones. Anyway, just guessing about ...

Hi all, we've been exploring a potential bug with Spectron lights over on Discord. Attached is the original Houdini scene, an ORBX export and a clip showing the issue. Steps to reproduce:

Update: just tried this out and it looks GREAT. The key was unplugging the diffuse texture from the diffuse shader and setting it to black instead. Not very intuitive, but excellent results!

Exciting to see this taking shape! Solaris has such great potential. There is some super jank on the Houdini end though, so that's holding things back for now. In particular, depth of field breaks constantly. I emailed SideFX about it and they say it will be getting better soon. The Octane delegate ...
