Hah!! YES!!!! the tonemapping did it!!

So I'm guessing its on by default in 2023 but not in 2022? I had to tick it for both my gpu's but yes, it renders now... what a random error. Good find!

Again, just to hammer home, if I do the same thing with octane 2023, everything works fine. So confused.

This is on win11 and yeah scene doesn't matter, blank scene with just a box or anything, it's all black.. and weirdly slow to start.. like without being able to see anything wrong in the logs, it feels like the gpu's are failing or something, but when I move the camera while its rendering black... I ...

I have a random problem, none of the newer builds of 2022 "works" in houdini, the plugin loads but when I hit render the precomp time is veeeery long and no matter what is in my scene it will render black or, nothing... I don't get any real errors and the gpu's are active. this happens on 625, 547 ...

So? hello ? no word? There are productions going on here that are not using the latest octane builds but are using newer houdini production builds, we currently can't because of API changes and Octane failing to load. Can we get an updated 2022 build for the latest prod build of H20 please!

You guys do this every time, you release a new build that FINALLY supports the latest production build 1-2 days before sidefx releases yet a new production build that fixes a bunch of critical issues.

Could we please get a 2022 compile for 20.0.625 as well?

Could we get a compile or new build for 2022 as well for the latest production build 590 ? I noticed a new 2023 build was released which is great, but we are still running 2022 unfortunately.

Question, how do you render the H20 ocean procedural with Octane? I get the displacement but no matter how I try to feed it octane shaders it won't render or work, just renders white.

I really REALLY hate how you guys release 2023.1.0.3 and then 2 hours later you release the solaris build, Built NOT on the same version... like wtf.

This now means the solaris build isn't for the latest production build and doesn't have the critical fixes that was added in 2023.1.0.3 ? like how ...

It is now 27 days since we have heard a peep from Houdini for Solaris... the world has literally changed since then lol, Octane 2024 announced, Houdini 20 released... Is there any hope the Solaris side of things will get faster in the future? you guys getting more people or help? because right now ...
