Hi Paul,
I feel the same way. No worries, thanks for taking your time looking into this. Curious to see what the guys find

Hi Paul,
Sorry, I didn't understand the larger context of what you were trying to do.
I applied those settings and got this result:
the Standalone still seems to generate HDR Data, so this might not be it, but certainly worth a shot

Re: OctaneRender 2025 for Rhino (TEST and STABLE)
Hi Paul,
That would not solve my problem, as the type of output from Standalone is what I need. I need a way to save the render from Rhino that gives the same result Standalone does. The HDR range is necessary for my current project, and going through Standalone all the time is a lot of extra work ...

Re: OctaneRender 2025 for Rhino (TEST and STABLE)
Hi Paul!
I downloaded your EXRs, put them in viewer.openHDR too, and compared them. They have the same issue mine had.

What's concerning is this spike. It indicates that, while the file is technically HDR 32bit, it only really uses the SDR space, and clips ...

Re: OctaneRender 2025 for Rhino (TEST and STABLE)
Hi Paul,
Unfortunately it did not, I still get the same cutoff at the end of the SDR range as before. Do you get the same result using my test files? I would not want to rule out a rhino settings issue yet.
In PS I open the EXR and press ctrl+alt+a to open the camera RAW editor. Top right It ...

Re: OctaneRender 2025 for Rhino (TEST and STABLE)
Hi Paul!
Yes, and no. The resulting file is 32 Bit, but it does not utilize the color space. In photoshop, it's clearly visible that it brightens to SDR white, then cuts off. When I export the same scene as ORBX, render in Standalone and export the render from there, the full space/HDR range is ...

Re: OctaneRender 2025 for Rhino (TEST and STABLE)
Hi All,
I'm having an issue exporting HDR EXRs from the Rhino plugin. I can make it work from standalone, but the plugin only ever spits out SDR data, no matter the format.
I tried;
Turning off ACES
Setting response cure to off/linear
Exporting in EXR 16/32 Linear/Tonemapped
Setting the default ...

Re: OctaneRender 2022 for Rhino (TEST and STABLE)
[FIXED] I can not access the Network Rendering menu as of right now. An error message comes up, telling me network rendering is not available in subscription or demo versions. We used to be enterprise customers (now studio+ i guess?) and rely on network rendering a fair bit. I always used to work ...

Re: OctaneRender® 2022.1 RC 2 [current 2022.1]
Thanks for your hard work, I'm excited to try some stuff with photon tracing once the plugins are released. Are there any news regarding the Brigade test run? It would be an absolute game changer for the office, can't wait to get my hands on it. Just wondering since Brigade isn't mentioned in the post
