Hi,
did you put the EXtractoR effect on the layer with your AO render? Try it and don't forget to select the "y" layer in the "channel info" in EXtractoR. Then you should see the AO render in After Effects.

I have a similar problem. Infochannels don't render at all when I want to render them separately. It used to work normally, but now it just doesn't save and stays on the first frame of the sequence forever.
