I've been working on this scene for a long time, and something about the general illumination seems odd to me.

Using PT, sun with a HDRi, portal on windows. Headboard is a plane light, and the lamps is and object with an emission material.


Any thoughts welcome

Been experimenting with modelling lamp fixtures, and this is the first that looks kinda decent. It's done in Max2019, if anyone wants the original file I can send links.

So sharing it and feedback welcome

That seems to be the way to go. The thing is 6.04.exe is not showing up in my available downloads list

I was on 6.01. The newest version I can download is 6.02 from my downloads list.

I’m still on the fence in octane is the right tool for archviz interior animations. Since I already use it for stills it makes sense to use it for animations as lighting and textures are already set.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm still working on the scene and materias. I decided to do a shot for the fun of it, and came up with a pretty cool looking checkered frosted glass look.

Any thoughs?
