SO there's no issue of bottleneck with something like the Amfeltic open air rack? There was some concern about that issue with RedShift, which is why I am asking. Thanks.glimpse wrote:As long as You have external solution that windows could see those cards, for OctaneRender architecture will not matter at all.

Mixing Internal Pascal with External Maxwell
Curious if Octane will recognize a setup with an internal Pascal card and multiple external Maxwell cards linked through type-c connection. Thanks!

Octane Render Failure [New User]
Recently purchased Octane, set up a simple scene and getting a render failure. I have attached a screen shot and Octane log. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am rendering using a GTX 660 2GB set to low priority and a 980 Ti 6GB. Perhaps it's something in my card setup?

Question About the Press Release for Octane 3
Hi All,
In the release from Otoy about v3 it mentions v3 will be $299 new customers and a $49 upgrade fee for existing v2 customers. I assume this means stand alone only. Anyone know what the upgrade free will be say, for the C4D plugin?
Thanks!

Hi All,
Curious for some education opinions. In a one card set up that will eventually go to a 4 card set up later in the year - start with a 980 ti or a Titan X? Trying to plan for the big picture. I was giving thought to getting a 980 Ti now and then adding 3 more Pascal equivalent's later in the ...

Geforce vs Quadro - Why chose?
Hi All,
For discussion - build for all projects. In short Quadro cards are geared for image quality. Gaming cards are geared for speed, for obvious reasons. If you're a 3d artist there is a visible difference between these types of cards in areas such as AA. But with a render engine like Octane ...
