Re: PC freezes using 980tis
Thanks Aoktar,
The errors are definately not random. When the 980ti is connected it always has the same error. The hardware has been tested ok on other render engines and V4 octane and is not faulty.
Im not an software engineer so my best explaination is it feels as though the memory gradually gets ...

Re: PC freezes using 980tis
Hey @whersmy
Im all good in terms of PSU its running on a corsair 1600W. Its definately seems to be an nvidea driver or octane bug issue.

PC freezes using 980tis
Hi there,
I'm rendering on a machine that has a combination of 2080tis and 980tis.
When I dont use the 980tis the render is fine however when I include the 980tis I get a gradual slow down of the entire machine and eventually it freezes until I force quit cinema 4d.
I have attached the log file ...

2020.2 Game ready driver
Hi there,
Does anyone have a stable game ready nvidea driver working with Octane 2020.2?
I'm getting Cuda 719 errors after 15 frames or so.
The reason I ask is I have a mix of 2080ti and 980ti GPUs and the 980ti's arnt supported by studio drivers.
Any advice is apreciated
Thanks
Uki

OSL Texture converter for ACES
Hi there,
Does anyone know if Octane has an OSL node that converts textures to be used for the diffuse channel for when rendering in ACES.
Thanks

Re: Studio and Game ready drivers
Hi and thanks for the replies.
I don't see any details in log. How do you know it's eating memory? Also try some older drivers between 420.xx and 431.xx
I just presumed the error "failed to deallocate device memory" and "CUDA error 2 on device 0: out of memory" meant that the memory was somehow ...

Studio and Game ready drivers
Hi,
I have the attached an Octane log regarding a memory issue when rendering.
It appears the memeory gets eaten up on relatively simple scenes and then the system hangs.
I think the issue is to do with the game ready nvidea drivers with Octane V4.05 R6, as the studio drivers that I'v tried seem ...
