Re: NEW: Octane X - is finally here! [MEGA FAQ THREAD]

Hey Beppe

please hurry up with mac render nodes, as there are now coming up machines with M5 Pro/Max which could be worth for node rendering.

So far release 2025.1.7.2 is rock solid! Wow! No crash just stable rendering. Octane never felt like this before.

And it would be very great to have ...

Re: Octane 2025.4 for Cinema4D - v1.7.2

Hey Beppe

found the solution!!! I animated the rotor with automatic curve continuation!
I thought maybe a key at the end could help... so it does!
But sure its a small bug when c4d continuing a keyframe animation the motionblur is not working correctly!
Here the same rendering with 8 timesamples ...

Re: Octane 2025.4 for Cinema4D - v1.7.2

Ciao Beppe

Timesampling per frame 4 does not change anything, there is no blur between the samples of movement...
See attached picture.

Re: Octane 2025.4 for Cinema4D - v1.7.2

Hey Chris, thanks for your great work!
Octane is super stagle on my macbook pro M3!
I have some trouble with the motionblur of a helicopter rotor. In Octane 2022 (on my old mac Pro) it works fine with one sample in the octane global render settings...
In Octane 2025.4 1.7.2 it looks quite wrong ...

Re: NEW: Octane X - is finally here! [MEGA FAQ THREAD]

Dear Ahmet
thanks for your work, but we need to earn our living with this software, we do not sit and render for fun...or render only one frame, we produce animations lots of frames!!
So it is/was a kind of big decision to accept all this small problems and instabilities of octane.
And after this ...

Re: NEW: Octane X - is finally the slowest!

Dear all
I totally agree. Spend around 30K Euros for hardware for renderingt big architecture scenes the last 2 years, the first working Octane X was around fall 2020.
2 years later we have to throw the machines to the rubbish?? No way, we change all to RS, that is guaranteed.
Maybe the new macPro ...

Re: NEW: Octane X - is finally here! [MEGA FAQ THREAD]

Dear Beppe,
does it means, the next OctaneX 2022 release will be only working on M1/M2 and not with AMD GPUs??

PR11 does not find the license

Dear Ahmet

I wanted to check the PR11 on my MacPro but find a message, that there is not the appropriate license... which is not the case, as you can see on my screenshot.
What should I do to make PR11 work?? PR8 works with no problem on the same machine...

kind regards
Martin
