Don't try anything else Octane plugin's particle engine for this. Otherwise It will kill the performance. I tried to point that on my previous answer, read second option. Check this scene

Any insight on how to override whatever is going on with these polygons in the toon shader? The only Workaround I've found is cranking the toon outline to max. Unfortunately it makes the dress be just one color.
