Better stable combination of plug-in and program
Hi all,
too many things happened in these last 2 months, so I would know which is the better stable combination of plug-in and Daz Studio?
Now I'm running Daz Studio 4.9 with Octane 2.23... is better the 2.24? or is useless and is better to move directly to 3.03?
Thank you
K.

Re: New Desktop Build - Advice Requested
So the GTX 970 is useless compared to my actual GTX 760? The GTX 980 is much more expensive (and I don't know if I can afford it) but could be a solution?
And a last thing: If I install the 760 + 970, this setting it will improve my render?
Thank you
K.

OMG Thank youswipswap wrote:Be aware that the GTX 970 has only 3.5GB of VRAM available to Octane. 512MB of that VRAM is segregated, slow and not even acknowledged by Octane. I own one, so unfortunately I know this from experience.

Re: New Desktop Build - Advice Requested
Thank you Spectralis, I totally agree with your advice, but I don't have the time to built my computer on my own
and I don't have the money if something goes wrong when I put together the single parts.

Re: New Desktop Build - Advice Requested
Thank you all for your good advices, now is a little more clear. So the best way is to build the desktop starting from the GPU right?

Re: New Desktop Build - Advice Requested
Thank you very much
So if I change the GPU with eventually this: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 960 with 2GB GDDR5, could be better?
For the entire build I can afford 1.200-1.400 $ and the desktop I found on Dell it costs 1.200 (with the GTX 960)...
