I think what they care most about with the license is you only use the license for one computer at a time. I don't think they really care about which version you are using assuming you have a license for that version.

I second this question. I am also very new to Octane (and loving it, along with the DAZ plugin), but I believe I read somewhere on here that that particular material doesn't work right in DAZ and that you must use it in the standalone version.
