Dont forget that you can render at lower resolution and use Octanes AI Upscaler mode in the imager node
This will do exactly what it says. take a lower resolution render (faster) and scale it up with as little render errors to be noticed,
as if it were rendered at that 2x 4x scale.
Then you can get ...

Re: Emergency help!!
Thats the sort of issue that popus up when your jumping between versions of LW with your scenes.
Say.. 2015, and 2020.
Remember.. LWG made upgrades to LW that revised the way it handles its scene and object files. Im not sure about 2018 and 19, but LW 2020 and up Object do not work in 2015.

Re: LW Octane & ACES & After Effects
Just checking to see if you got any headway on your old post in regards to LW/Octane and Aces output.
From what i gathered, Octane's LW dcc does not fully support Aces although you do see it as a file output.
Lightwave itself (2015 doesnt fully support aces) or at least i never found a proper icc ...

Re: Waiting (delay btw frames)
Older post/reply but long-standing topic
I go thru the same thing and didn't consider the freezing. But it's one thing to keep note. Lw subd will also account for things like fiberfx fiber count. Where if you only use octane subd it may not account for fiberfx specifics. I'm not certain of this but ...

Render progression 'Waiting'
Anyone getting this "waiting" pause during rendering??
So i dont think this to be a bug but i am wondering if its possible to medicate the duration of such.
Im doing network rendering, My scene involves the use of dynamics LW, and Bullet, along with Fur (fiberFX)
so there is alot going on in terms ...

Octane off sync with LW image sequence.
Octane off sync with LW image sequence. multiple LW versions.
This has occurred before,
Octane will be a frame offset from lw's image sequence.
This happens both in 24fps and 23.976
crazy enough, when the actual anim is sync with the footage LW will show one frame and octane will be another but in ...

Sorry for the late reply guys, Unfortunately im currently still on red alert project mode, so i havent had time to re-install the most recent plug-in
to retrieve that error results. but trust me it was very real and completely annoying.

Re: OctaneRender 2020.2 LightWave Alpha build 2020.2.0.0
Question?.
IS lightwave DCC UV's limited to only 3?
In octanes materials, the toggle only lists for 3 UV options, is there a way to increase or select the named UV from the object?
