Re: Render only license
You don't need an additional license of maya.

You can do this, you just can't have the same scene open. What I usually do is save out my render scene as a different name if I want to continue working on another section.

Re: HELP! I can't get octane to use all 3 of my gpus
Ok everyone, got it figured out! At some point in time (still not exactly sure what) something with my operating system or installed programs was hindering any program from using more than 2 cards at a time. So I did a fresh install of windows and after installing octane everything is working fine ...

Re: HELP! I can't get octane to use all 3 of my gpus
Ya I've tested these GPU's on other boards and they're just fine. They work just fine on my board too just not at the same time, so it seems like something may be wrong with the PCIE lanes like you mentioned. I tried different gpu's in this set up on my machine as well and got the same outcome.

Re: HELP! I can't get octane to use all 3 of my gpus
Ok so I tried placing the cards in different slots and basically what I expected to happen, happened. Each card is functioning just fine and up to 2 cards everything is great, its just when I have a third card that it gets weird. Even when I have all 3 cards in, I can manually turn each card on by ...

Using 3 cards is new, I've used 2 cards for the past couple years without a problem.

Re: HELP! I can't get octane to use all 3 of my gpus
I did a clean install for each driver hoping one of the old drivers was the issue but that didn't help. I did notice that when I do a PCIE render test in GPU-Z it will only stress the 1st card, no matter which card I select in GPU-Z to do the render test. So that was odd ...

Re: HELP! I can't get octane to use all 3 of my gpus
Ya the 6.5 toolkit didn't work either. I've tried a ton of drivers including 347.52, 347.25, 347.09 and 345.20 but nothing. This is really one of the weirdest things we've ever seen here with the way it's acting. I would expect one of the cards to be dead or at least acting weird.

Re: HELP! I can't get octane to use all 3 of my gpus
Thanks for the info wheresmy, I tried enabling the TPU and I also tried monitoring the power through the ASUS TurboV but it will only recognize asus gpus. I'm attempting the 6.5 toolkit but I tried that earlier with some other cards and it didn't seem to help. I'll give it a try with this setup and ...
