Hi,

i tried to install the Cinema 4D (R15) octane demo version on a mac pro with a gtx 970. But it won't work, because it shows an error message which says "There is no CUDA device which is selected..." When i try to check the GPU in the octane options, the same message appears, and when i close the settings tab, the 970 gtx automatically gets unchecked. BUT cuda works fine, in every other software (for example the octane standalone demo), and also inside cinema 4d (turbulence fd). Any chance for me to get this working?

Cinema 4D R15
GTX 970
NVIDIA Driver 343.01.02f03 (tried older and newer versions, problem is still there)
CUDA 6.5.25 (with newer and older versions cuda doesn't work)

can you check in standalone demo? Also could you please post a sshot to see this messsage?

the standalone demo is working fine, and the gtx 970 is checked. i can load the demo scenes and everything works perfect and octane renders immediately.

the gpu isn't checked, and i can't change it. when closing the settings, the gpu is unchecked again...

Just downloaded the 2.16 demo, now it works! Did you updated it today? I downloaded a version on monday, and maybe it was an older version? now everything works, thanks!

You probably haven't installed a recent NVIDIA driver (>= 344).

True, I didn't read carefully enough. Your problem is not driver related. I will reply in the other thread.
