For me, this is the slowest Octane so far:

PT
2.57 = 0.71 Ms/Sec
2.58e = 0.56 Ms/Sec
2.59 = 0.43 Ms/Sec
3.01 = 0.31 Ms/sec
3.03 = 0.29 Ms/sec
RC1 = 0.27 Ms/sec

PMC is also broken and renders black (which I see is a known bug)
Check back on Tuesday (see here: http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 57#p107457)

Cheers,
Marcus
Great stuff guys! This fix results in a big speed up on my gtx285

PT
2.57 = 0.71 Ms/Sec
2.58e = 0.56 Ms/Sec
2.59 = 0.43 Ms/Sec
3.01 = 0.31 Ms/sec
3.03 = 0.29 Ms/sec
RC1 (OLD) = 0.27 Ms/sec
RC1 (NEW) = 0.66 Ms/sec

RC1 is almost as fast as 2.57

Problem scene is attached.

Cheers, mib.
I tried your scene, and it renders fine, I don't get any of the artifacts shown in your image. Did you use any special settings for that render?

No.
Hi, test also blender obj export (not plugin)but same result 3.03 work, RC1 show mesh partly transparent.
But got an error during import:

Cannot find file '.'

May it is a linux only problem, dunno.
This is the only file I have problems so far, seams not a bug in RC1.

Cheers, mib.

Geometry groups are very useful but with complex scenes it becomes really messy and it's quite difficult to manage them.

Would it be possible to have a geometry group node with more than 2 input pins (free number defined in a additional param) to connect several meshes or geometry groups on a same node ?
