1: The shutter value doesnt come in correctly, it is always at zero. If you change it and then close the script, it comes in as 0 again when everything else saves.
2: the "start frame number at" doesnt work. It always starts at 1
Yep, confirmed those bugs - we shall fix them.

thanks for the report!

edit: here is a fixed version - this version will ship in the next release

I may have a bug report with the batch render script, needs to be confirmed.

I imported a .abc motion file (exported by Octane Blender and 2.23.2 server v8.4) having 240 frames. Using the batch render script it worked as expected, 240 files rendered)

I revised and re-exported the .abc file to only have 90 frames, when i used the batch render script it rendered 240 frames again, with the last frame repeated. The information in the batch window was correct 90 frames with the exception with the progress bar.

It may be the Blender Octane .abc file that has the issue.

Can you get us the file so we can have a look (Or a simplified version of it that reproduces the issue)?

thanks,
Thomas

ABC-BatchTest.zip

Started with a Blender Octane 2.23.2 Server v8.4 ABC export with 100 frames
Imported into Standalone 2.23.2
Batch rendered 1-100 frames

Edited In Blender Octane to have 60 frames and exported again

Opened Standalone File
- Timeline say 0 to 59 (correct)(reading revised .abc file on open)

Batch Render Script
- Start Frame 0
- End Frame 73
- When I run the script I get 1 to 100 frames

Hi r-username,

Thanks for the file ! It helped me to fix the script.

What happened is, the batch rendering script saves its settings as part of the current project (you can see those settings in ABC-BatchTest.ocs). In your case it would store an end frame of 100 instead of 73 so when you would run the batch rendering script it would render 100 frames (Even though the maximum value of the slider is correct). In the fixed version we check if the start and end still make sense for the current animation and clamp those values accordingly.

The script will be part of the next release. Here's the updated script already for those who need it now.

Hi there,

Just a minor thing I have envountered: Running Turntable animation and press 'Stop render'..
.. the render has stopped, but the button stays on 'Stop render' and should it not be 'Start render'

Another remark I would like to make is that a nice feature would be saving the Turntable animation settings, or keep the last used settings?

greetz,

I know maybe is a bit later  for the problem, but Could you explain if something was changed between versions. I try to see if was gamma but I realize also highlights (reflection) are different. please some advise on that would be great :D
