Also, after this process, the next time I use V6, how can I do just one import, instead of importing to individual ody parts all over again?

After you have loaded the materials over the individual body parts, you can click on V4 in the octane window and export all materials for this figure/pro

And then import to V6? Awesome. Thanks.

I've noticed with your latest files, the GPU memory requirements have increased. Love the files, but sucks for people like me with only 2gb gpu ram. Just curious why the increase? Anyway, love the files.

The VRAM requirements should not / not much be influenced by TGX since it doesn't duplicate anything in the scene - it's just using what's already there and makes it better looking. You'll only need more VRAM if you're adding more objects/textures to your scene.

Other than that: The general shader structure of RedSpec has changed dramatically over time. If you're looking back to say 3-4 months ago when 3.0 Selected Mk2 was released - That shader structure was just nothing like TGX. Although it follows the same principles of using a material mix - TGX is much more advanced in realistically simulating human skin.

Between which versions of TGX did you notice an increased amount of VRAM needed?
I'd really love to go into this since we're finalizing the shader and really are trying to make it have as less impact as possible on render time.

Thanks for your help! :)

I noticed it from Tony Redspec SSS to the TGX 5.1. The amount really is negligible, so I wouldn't worry about it, was just curious.

But on another note, the TGX 5.1 is giving V4 a dark redish hue to her skin, None of the other files do this. I thought this one was supposed to be the most realistic? It's really unusable. changing gamma, light strength has no effect. I saw someone else post the same problem. Is there a solution to it? Thanks.

Randall.

Please note, that the TonySculptor skin shader (the one you can get in the LiveDB) and RedSpec TGX are two very different shaders, developed by different people.
When reading over your last post it seems that the "tanning option" as we're calling it has a different color than 255/255/255 (white). Go through the following steps to make sure it is - because this can otherwise seriously impact the color and/or hue of the underlying skin texture.

1.) Open the material tree of a limb that you have applied TGX to.
2.) Select material1 (the one under amount)
3.) Click on the diffuse node
4.) The value texture2 needs to read 255/255/255

If it is, then I'm handing this over to Witpapier :D

I'll attach this shot to clarify how changing that RGB color can change the texture:

I sent you an email with images. But, I was wrong, the file that causes the red hue ot "Tan" affect is the V5.12TPSSSs1 TGX NT LV CC corrected.poe file. not the TGX 5.11 file. Sorry about that. Anyway, sent you files using various files of yours, and need some feedback. Thanks. Sorry for the confusion.

Yeah the "CC" stands for color correction and as TRRazor said above, the value texture2 needs to read 255/255/255 to get rid of the tan effect. I got caught on this as well! ;)

Now, if someone could kindly tell me what "NT" and "LV" means I would be ecstatic...I assume LV stands for less velvet? Maybe?
