OctaneRender™ for Blender 1.30 - 3.2 beta Win [OBSOLETE]

Maybe you should change "channels of image to draw" in the Image editor? (selection at the bottom right of the window)

Hi,
I found my answer for the speed and also for the opacity trouble... the SLI... For the standalone version of Octane, the SLI is not a problem at all, for the plugins yes !!! 25% less faster and when you enable 2x GPU, 50% opacity or just transparent.
The solution : turn off sli, close the session (must be close instead not work), re-open the session and working. I think it's a workaround but working for me.
Hope help,
Matt

@JimStar :
Do you think you will put a multi-scattering SSS soon for the volumetric effects like in standalone ?
Thanks,
Matt
ps : I post an other request before, if you have an idea too.

Hi
I encouter the same problem as steveps3.
@simdal:
Thanks for your suggestion, but after playing with channels of the image to draw I’m still getting either a very dark image or a semi – transparent one. Actually right after the rendering gets finished the UV image editor shows the right colors. It is when I save the image to hdd that it loses half of its brightness.
The problem appears only when I use both of my gpus for rendering (1 – no problem). The previous releases of Blender Octane Edition and Octane Server worked fine.
@ MattRM:
Also thanks for the reply, however I’ve never turned SLI on in nVidia control panel, so this might not be the reason for me.
Has anyone tried rotating an hdri environment texture? Do all inputs in Octane Rotate Transform node work for you guys? I mean only the texture nodes – with shader nodes Rotate Transform works ok.
Cheers,
Szymon

I had the same problem, you have to change the "Channel of the image to draw" in the low right part of the render window. You probably have the triangle checker selected, choose the square checker.steveps3 wrote:Everything appears to be rendering with a degree of transparency?
