The first sight is about refreshing LV window, strange behavior... and may be earlier builds had it too...
Case: while LV is active, after stopping navigating at c4d perspective-view window, the LV is still refreshing while cursor is moving over that window (without changing of a camera view angle).
So that there is needed to make a pause (almost 1 sec) in movement or move cursor behind the perspective-view window's bounds to stop LV refreshing continously.
In case of navigating through scene with cursor placed over LV window, there is no continuously refreshings.
Sorry for inconvenience, but is it normal?
This is what I am also experiencing. Are you using chaos nodes? The log just adds a line every 5 or so seconds with an event. The UI becomes frustrating to use, dragging any object, tag, slider or engaging in the view port requires multiple interactions.

Hi guys,
I've tried to reproduce both Live View update, and Composite texture + Chaos node without success.
Do you mind to share scenes that show the issues?
ciao,
Beppe

i have the same thing on some projects since maybe 2023 version. I thought its because xparticles in the scene, but the cursor-refreshing thing is also in some scenes without them. Never figured out what element is doing this behaviour. But yeah, its still there.

Do you have a scene for us where this happens? Im trying to recreate this issue, but no luck so far

Using a few of the new chaos nodes in a composite material and experience quite extreme lag in all aspects of the UI. Opening the log reveals that there is some events occurring intermittently even without interacting with the UI.

This issue has been fixed, and it will be part of the next build

Thank you for your answer.
I'll send to you one of such scenes in the next 4-5 hours through private message.
upd.: I have found the reason in a specific scene. Continously LV refreshing stops after breaking the Chaos node in a material.
tim_grove was right.
Nope. Resending the scene into render and continuously refreshing still here.... Something more is acting...
The scene I'll send anyway as mentioned before.

A simple universal material with an octane gradient set to radial crashes octane every time.

like this?
Works here, could you send us details about your machine and a test scene?

Great, this seems to be the cause of the UI lag. Mainly that connecting and disconnecting a node tree with a chaos texture node will continuously add thousands of errors to the octane log every second even without engaging with the UI. While I haven't been able to build a scene from scratch that causes the issue, I have easily reproduced the conditions in an existing scene and have a screen recording of it.
Sent this to you in a DM Chris!

This version is causing 2 of my render nodes to fail continously, no matter what project I load.
All nodes have the same Nvidia drivers:
