As said, in some R15 C4D-Octane is working fine (e.g. mine ).
But he has to remove some items from his scene to render it, like the physical sky and the architecural gras or the tuilegen tags. Then it will render in R15 also. So it is here. Let him try

I played with it a bit and experienced no crashes so far... GREAT!
The only thing that bothered me was that the on screen info still looks some kind of messy.
Thats the reason why I did a design to start a discussion what would fit best for this kind of on screen display.
I thought maybe you can turn on / off the single tabs so you can decide what info you want to see and the rest of them will move in place or something tlike this

as a follow up to the previous post :
the display / overlay of render status is fine in the live viewer
but in the picture manager it is a bit annoying because when you want to
save a state while it is still rendering the saved image contains the overlay....
maybe a separate stats window would be a solution
or a possibility to enable/disable the display in the picture manager

i´ve worked tillnow with version 072b on a big scene with million of instanced on win8 wit 2 titans.
worked fine, but on render end the scene saves the picture and saves and saves..i had to kill cinema over taskmanager each time, but the good thing is..the picture was saved. On small scenes it saves right, but on the big one he want let me out on render end
i needed a alphachannel in background..but don´t get one. tried everything...

Now i tried version 0.81b
..on small scenees worked really fine and i get now my alpha background on small scenes.
But on my big scenes cinema crashes in the middle... i read that the save on end and save and save and don´t let me out mistake is fixed here. But i can´t get to the end because my scene crashes whhole cinema everytime..so i hope it is fixed, but can´t check it.

Now i tried 0.79b and hoped the save on end-mistake is fixed here..but it´s the same..saves and saves and i had to kill the whole application. But yeah .. alphachannel worked.

the funny thing is that all versions do what i want, but there is no one whcih does everything.
the best is v.0.79b and i will finish my project with it. i hope my cutomer doesen´t want an animation because of the saave and save loop at the ende of each frame by this big scene i don´t kow how to realize that...but for now he want prints so it´s ok.
v 0.72b and v0.79b are really stabel on my 64 bit system..cinema never chrashes..instead octane wrote *render failed* - really cool but v 0.81b with all feature i want to have seems to be unsable on my pc-configuration..don´t know why.
i really love this render .. i hope this helps for developing next version.

nice to hear that you can do your jobs with a stabile version. New features seems to need more tests for stability. But last version has much more functionality and i like to insure stability.

I have consistent crashes when editing materials.
This happens editing native c4d materials (non octane materials.) Its when I click on the button indicated in the picture.
