cathedral of woods

While walking through the forest, I encoutered a sudden stillness deep within myself. Thoughts vanished, as my soul recovered and calmed down from the fast city life. I felt a deep connection to all plants, trees and animals around me. It felt as being quite close to something which some people might consider to call god, universal spirit, or just the deep core of unity inside us.

With the contest now over and the picks from the judges listed, I still question how they were actually judging, because I feel like this was one of the stronger entries in the entire competition. You've put so much detail into this scene by hand, far more than most, yet you didn't even get a mention from any of the three judges! All their top 10 picks seem to focus around the same couple entries. Lots of duplicate mentions.
