Hello,
i have a problem regarding Cryptomattes. Unfortunately, I cannot share the scene.
The light source of the scene is an Octane Daylight with Fog Medium activated.
With Fog Medium activated the Cryptomatte pass is unfortunately unusable.
Without Fog Medium the result is as it should be. See comparison picture.
Apparently there was this bug also in the standalone version.
This was probably fixed in version 2020.2 RC 4.
Quote:
" Fixed cryptomatte passes rendering incorrectly when environment medium was enabled."

Thank you.

I could not find the pass "Volume occlusion" in the Cinema 4d plugin. is there an equivalent ?
And how do I use this pass? does this pass replace the usual cryptomatte pass? sorry I am a bit lost here and need more explanation.
In contrast to the example images from the linked thread, my example image is extremely noisy.
Maybe I do not understand or overlook something, then please enlighten me
