In my sample, xp trails works as hairs via object tag. Gets the color with help of their uv coordinates. But spheres are render instances and no way to sync the colors by user. Just possible to use random texture over there. Another possible way to use mograph colors on non-render instances. But soon Otoy will bring a way to create custom texture for render instances. Waiting.....

Does this include per-frame control from XParticles to Octane render instances?

thanks alot for Beta 2!
The linked example file called houdini-explosion.zip contains a C4D file without a VDB volume object.
Instead, there is the (new, experimental?) standard volume object with a noise loaded.
Is it interesting to load the Houdini VDB sequence or parts of it up to the web?
If so, what would be the reason Otoy does not?
Nevertehless, thanks for the demo file. Seams to be a standard explosion setup, with no transfer of velocity vector data for motion blur.
About the new volume object: one simply drags any object below the volume, is that right?
If so, is there a way right now to center or position this object in the "domain"?
Mine will always move to an edge.
