I want to take another step in my learning and I want to update my hardware before buying a OVR subscription. But I have some doubts:

1.- Is it better/same/worse to have 2x1050TI 4GB (Total 8GB) than 1x1060 6GB? My idea is to buy just a 1050TI now and then to buy another 1050TI in the future.

2.- Is it necessary to do SLI linking the 2 cards? I ask this because I will need a more expensive motherboard for SLI.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

1) Two 1050TI's will be faster than one 1060, but the 1060 will have more vram. It all depends on whether speed or memory is more important to you.
2) Don't worry about SLI, only games really use it.

Hi leo64,
the scene needs to be always loaded on all the GPUs, so 2x1050TI 4GB gives you less than 4GB, not 8 GB.
In my opinion, better to go for one 1060 6GB, and add another one later one.
If you are in Win 10, you are forced to lose some VRAM for the system too:
