In the last quarter of 2011, the team added a handful of features to Octane and created milestones in both the standalone and plugin development. But then again, we were missing one of our most promising developers who helped a great deal in paving the way towards these features and milestones.

We all know him as Abstrax.

Marcus headed the software development team of former RSL between January to September last year and closely coordinated Octane's development whilst contributing code in the application and core engine itself. Under his wing, Octane grew from beta v2.40 to v2.52 attributing to numerous additional features and enhancements in a span of five major releases.

He is a big fan of the community and for those who frequent the forums, he is a good friend. For those who love the cinema4d export script, this will be uplifting news, from now on just make more room to render your c4d scenes with Octane. He simply needs no introduction in those terms. His presence in our camp and in our community will always make a difference. And yes, he is back with our growing team alongside brand manager, RayTracey!

We are all set to work and bring Octane even closer to where we all want it to be. Welcome back Marcus!
