Great work everyone. Knew my chances were pretty much gone after the first few entries came in. Well I look forward to the 1.0 release so that I can continue my work with Octane and RIB and possibly port my animation over here. Again everyone, great work. You all truly deserve your prizes.

Hi ! I'm just back to home after 3 bad and tiring days for nothing in a very cold weather.
This morning, I had just one hour to wait for my return train, and I found a little cybercafe close to the station, where I have spent ten minutes on a very slow machine, to look at the competition result.
So, Congratulations to all the winners , and also to all other artists who submitted very nice images
I espescially liked the Octane chase by Tommy5, Favela by Pedrojafet, and the images of the Lubitel 2 camera by hims3lf.
When I was young, after the 6x9 620 Lumière folding camera given by my grand father, the Lubitel 2 has been the first camera that I purchased with my savings.
Later, I purchased a second one (used) and I made a handle to put them side by side, triggered by an Y cable : I used them a long time to make stereo shots on transparent slides.
This past week as been very exiting, and I really felt inlove with Octane
Now, I have to search in the depth of my pockets and drawers some money to buy a better graphic card and a new power supply.
Be sure that I will purchase Octane when it will allow to save the scenes
I own a licence of an other well known unbiaised render engine, but I must say that what I have discovered with GPU rendering and Octane interactivity is quite miraculous ! It is so less tedious to adjust materials interactively ! Images are of quality and rendering is fast, even with a low power GPU like my 8800 GTS 512 ! In fact, as I rendered mainly big scenes I have been more limited by my memory amount than by the GPU power.
I wish long life to Octane !

It's a pity you did'nt win a prize, since you submitted so much images...
Nevertheless, there will be more competitions coming soon, with more prizes to win.
