Here is a little workaround video to export an existing scene with strands and lights to Octane.
You will see also the setup of the camera to match Octane with Softimage. Or better, to match Softimage with Octane
That´s necessary because Octane can only render with a pixel ratio of 1.
The workaround is the same between strands and particles.
The size of the instance shape should be 1x1x1, if the result should look the same as in Softimage.
I used the particle color in the shadertree only to match the both results.
It is´t necessary to export/render it out.
