no CUDA device supported by Octane Render - Help!

Firstly, very new to C4D, wanted to get to grips with it during the lock down period..

However, everything is going wrong for me at the moment. Trying to get to grips with Octane Render and eventually got it working on my mac, just to display the error;

There is no CUDA device which is supported by Octane Render...

so I still cant use it. Im unsure if my Mac cannot handle it, as I said im new to all of this. It's specs are;

PROCESSOR: 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5
MEMORY: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
GRAPHICS: NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M 1 GB

Please can someone help with this, tried updating with NVIDIA also and that hasnt worked whatsoever.

Furthermore if there is an similar Octane like application which wont provide me with a massive headache as this has please could someone reccommend

Thank you!

Hi,
with your Mac, since it has a Nvidia GPU, and Nvidia has abandoned Mac OsX, you must install a frash copy of High Sierra, even on an external hdd:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/macos-h ... 4741?mt=12
with CUDA 410.130:
https://www.nvidia.com/object/macosx-cu ... river.html
upgrade to 10.13.6, installing also all the Apple Security Updates (several boots), and finally install the latest GPU drivers:
https://www.nvidia.com/download/driverR ... 9341/en-us

Please, make sure to have disabled the **Synchronize on geo update** option, in Octane Settings / Others,. If enabled can cause instability issues under OsX:

And enable the Out-of-Core option too, since your GPU is quite old, and does not have too much VRAM memory (1GB), and power.
GTX 755M performs only ~14 in Octanebench, while we suggest a minimum of ~45 for a smooth experience:

I have been having the same exact issues and I tried to do everything recommended but it won't work. My Mac OS is Mojave and it isn't possible to downgrade to High Sierra. I already tried installing the latest cuda driver, I also tried installing the one suggested in this forum. I'm still getting THE SAME ERROR "no CUDA device supported by Octane Render". I'm just trying Octane for the first time and I'm also still a bit new to cinema 4d but I'm using it to work on my school project and I felt like octane could help improve my workflow but now I just feel like I have wasted money on a subscription that has refused to serve. If there are any suggestions you feel can help please help!

Thank you

With Nvidia GPU under Mac, you are forced to have High Sierra 10.13.6, even on an external hdd:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/macos-h ... 4741?mt=12
with CUDA 410.130:
https://www.nvidia.com/object/macosx-cu ... river.html
and latest GPU drivers:
https://www.nvidia.com/download/driverR ... 2473/en-us

Mojave and Catalina are not supported by Nvidia, and Sierra 10.12 is obsolete and no longer supported by CUDA.

For Catalina 10.15.6, you need OctaneX and a recent AMD GPU:

If you are using Windows, please download and run GPU-Z:
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/
And share a screenshot from the Graphics Card tab, for all the available Nvidia GPUs, thanks.

Hi,
GPU-Z screenshot seems correct, please download and run OctaneBench 4.00c from the following link, then share a screenshot of the result, or the error message, thanks:
